FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) — Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is happy to be staying in New England.

The former NFL MVP said Saturday he is grateful for the opportunity to play his entire career so far with one franchise. Brady broke his silence on a four-year contract extension two days after the sides agreed to terms.

Brady says he’s uncomfortable talking about his contract. But he’s happy it gives him a chance to remain with the team and coach Bill Belichick. He called Belichick “the greatest” and credited his teammates for all the Patriots’ accomplishments.

Since being thrust into the starting job when Drew Bledsoe was injured, Brady has led the Patriots to three Super Bowl championships, and was league MVP in 2007.
