Schwieger, Dartmouth run past Bucknell 43-20

LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Nick Schwieger rushed 25 times for 216 yards and two touchdowns as Dartmouth, scoring the final 37 points, defeated Bucknell 43-20 on Saturday.

Schwieger’s 56-yard scoring run with 2:24 left in the third quarter gave the Big Green the lead for good, 23-20, in their opener, and he scored on an 11-yard run in the fourth quarter. Schwieger also caught five passes for 57 yards.

Dartmouth’s Connor Kempe threw three touchdown passes, including second-half scores of 16 and 41 yards to Michael Reilly. Kempe completed 17 of 23 passes for 211 yards.

The Bison (0-3) were held to 61 yards in the second half, when they punted four times, missed a field goal and threw an interception, which Shawn Abuhoff returned 56 yards for Dartmouth’s final touchdown.

Brandon Wesley threw for two touchdowns in the first half for Bucknell, which took a 20-9 lead into halftime.
