LAS VEGAS (AP) — A Washington man has pleaded no contest to attempted murder with a weapon in a strip club melee involving NFL player Adam “Pacman” Jones.

The Clark County district attorney’s office said Arvin Kenti Edwards entered the plea Tuesday under a plea deal in the 2007 shooting that left a club employee paralyzed.

Las Vegas police have said Jones met with Edwards after Jones was ejected from a club near the Las Vegas Strip following a brawl. Shots were fired moments later.

The Cincinnati Bengals player has denied having a role in the shooting.

Public defender Dan Silverstein says Edwards faces up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced in January.

Edwards, of Renton, Wash., originally could have faced life in prison on seven felony counts.
