Jets’ recharged Tomlinson proving critics wrong

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — LaDainian Tomlinson says he feels like his old self again.

The New York Jets running back has enjoyed a solid start to the season, his first with his new team after nine years in San Diego. Tomlinson leads the Jets with 138 yards rushing and has flashed some of the playmaking moves that made him one of the NFL’s most dangerous players with the ball in his hands.

Tomlinson says he’s not all that concerned about silencing his critics, but offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer says the running back is the “worst guy in the world to question or criticize” because of the passion he has to be great.

Tomlinson says he feels “like a young man” because he’s healthy at the start of a season for the first time in three years.
