The northern segment of the new Gibbons Creek Wildlife Art Trail in Washougal will be closed for the season beginning Friday.
The segment, at the Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge, is typically closed during the winter for waterfowl using the adjacent refuge fields and wetland areas. It will reopen May 1.
The two-mile trail includes two boardwalks, two scenic overlooks and a 110-foot-long bridge across Gibbons Creek.
