CHICAGO (AP) — Pittsburgh Pirates center fielder and No. 3 hitter Andrew McCutchen was scratched from the lineup Sunday against the Chicago Cubs because of a stiff neck.

McCutchen was hurt when he made a diving attempt for a double off the bat of Carlos Zambrano in the third inning Saturday. He stayed in the game.

The Pirates made some switches in McCutchen’s absence. Garrett Jones was inserted into Sunday’s lineup to play right field. Jose Tabata was moved from left field to center and Matt Diaz from right to left. Neil Walker was moved in the batting order from second to third.

McCutchen homered in the Pirates’ season-opening win Friday.
