NEW YORK (AP) — The NBA Development League opens its playoffs Wednesday, with coach Nancy Lieberman’s expansion Texas Legends facing Tulsa in one of the two scheduled games.

League-best Iowa faces Utah in the opener of their best-of-three series. The other two first-round series begin later in the week.

The NBA D-League is coming off its most successful regular season, featuring 21 players called up from the NBA’s minor league. The Philadelphia 76ers signed guard Antonio Daniels on Tuesday, calling up the NBA champion with the 1999 San Antonio Spurs who had been playing in Texas for Lieberman, the first female coach on an NBA-affiliated team.
