YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — The Yakima City Council has voted to ban sex offenders from using city swimming pools.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports Tuesday’s vote applies to about 100 Level 2 and 3 convicts who live inside the city or nearby.
The new policy is the result of officials learning in December that a Level 3 offender had been swimming at a municipal pool.
