PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — An airline spokeswoman says a Delta Airlines flight bound from Portland, Ore., to Salt Lake City hit a bird and was forced to return to Portland International Airport.
Delta Flight 4621 was being operated by Delta partner SkyWest Airlines.
SkyWest spokeswoman Brooke Heath tells The Oregonian the flight took off about 4:47 p.m. Wednesday but hit the bird and returned shortly after 5 p.m.
She says the plane landed safely. No injuries were reported.
