SYDNEY (AP) — Triple Olympic gold medalist Stephanie Rice will lead a 45-member Australian swim team to the world championships in China.

Rice won the 400-meter individual medley on the final night of the Australian trials Friday. Rice won the 200 and 400 individual medleys at the Beijing Olympics and also picked up a gold in a relay.

Head coach Leigh Nugent relaxed his tough minimum qualifying standards following the completion of the trials. Nugent announced that all first-and second-place finishers in Olympic events would go to Shanghai, regardless of their times.

The worlds will be held from July 16-31.
