Felida resident Randolph Raetz crosses the Vancouver Land Bridge on Saturday during the International Discovery Walk. Raetz was among those who chose the 10-kilometer route, which went through downtown Vancouver, along the Waterfront Renaissance Trail and over the land bridge before meeting up with a 5-kilometer route that went through the Fort Vancouver area. Saturday marked the 15th year of the International Discovery Walk Festival in Vancouver, but the festival was scaled back this year from three days to one. The event coincided with a family weekend for the Washington Army National Guard’s 790th Chemical Company at the Vancouver Barracks, and soldiers and their families had planned to be among the walkers.
