Letter: Research contents of vaccines

The Columbian
Published: April 11, 2011, 12:00am

No one chooses not to vaccinate for “sheer convenience,” despite The Columbian’s baseless and ridiculous notion in its March 27 editorial, “Immunize children.” Anyone fearing a nanny state should oppose House Bill 1015 and Senate Bill 5005. These bills would force parents to listen to a lecture before continuing with their choice not to vaccinate. This lecture would be from pediatricians who could have done less research on the topic than the parents. Do you know what toxic substances are in vaccines?

A useful bill would require pediatricians to know the history and contents of each vaccine. The most recent cause of polio in this country was the oral vaccine itself. Those were eventually switched out for a safer method. In 2004, we sent bad ones to Africa. Money could still be made. Also, many vaccines could be made without toxins, but it’s cheaper to make them with formaldehyde, mercury, and aluminum. Make a bill requiring pharmaceutical companies to make a safer product. Vaccine injury is so prevalent that there is a federal vaccine court that doles out money to kids who have been injured by vaccines. Do your own research and learn about it for yourself.
