NORTH BEND, Ore. (AP) — The Albertsons grocery story in North Bend on the Oregon coast is closing by the end of May.
The World newspaper in Coos Bay reports the closure will come when the store lease is up for the owner, Supervalu Inc.
The store has about 45 employees with 15 of them full-time.
A Supervalu spokesman at the chain’s headquarters in Eden Prairie, Minn., says it has had very few closures in Oregon, where it operates 48 Albertsons stores.
Albertsons has been serving North Bend for about 40 years.
