LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears have added some depth at quarterback.
The Bears selected Idaho quarterback Nathan Enderle with the 160th overall pick of the NFL draft on Saturday. The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder had 22 touchdown passes and 16 interceptions last season. He was 17-29 as a starter for the Vandals.
The Bears have an established starter in Jay Cutler, with Todd Collins and Caleb Hanie behind him. Collins is a free agent.
In the first round, the Bears beefed up their offensive line with Wisconsin’s Gabe Carimi. They also took defensive tackle Stephen Paea of Oregon State and safety Chris Conte from Cal.
