Trial was set for Sept. 14 for a woman accused of trying to sell her baby at Taco Bell.
Heidi Knowles, 36, also known as Heidi Gasaway, is charged with attempted selling of a child, a gross misdemeanor. She appeared this morning in Clark County District Court to set a trial date.
A readiness hearing of Sept. 7 also was scheduled in preparation for trial.
Knowles is accused of approaching a woman at the Hazel Dell Taco Bell restaurant to try and sell her 3-day-old son. The woman notified police, who responded and questioned Knowles.
The baby was placed in the care of Child Protective Services.
Police said Knowles appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
