Clinic offers free health events

Sea Mar Community Health Center will host free events all week in honor of National Health Center Week.

Sea Mar will host events from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday at various locations in town.

Here’s the schedule of events:

Behavioral Health Event – Monday at Sea Mar Vancouver Medical Clinic, 7410 E. Delaware Lane. Introspective look at your mental health status. Confidential self-assessment questionnaires and certified staff on hand to provide information that could directly impact your healthy mindset. 360-566-4432.
Maternity Support Services Event – Tuesday at Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., third floor. Learn about Text4Baby, an exciting free service that provides important health information to pregnant women via text message. Also find our about services provided by Sea Mar’s Maternity Support Services program. 360-397-4366.

Women, Infant, Children Event – Wednesday at Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., third floor. Experts at Sea Mar Women, Infant, Children (WIC) offer samples of flavored waters. 360-397-4365.

Back to School Immunization Day – Thursday at Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., third floor. Sea Mar is providing free age-appropriate immunizations including hepatitis B; hepatitis A; Hib; polio; pneumococcal; rotavirus; measles, mumps, rubella (MMR); varicella (chickenpox); HPV; and meningococcal for children 19 years old and younger. Dental Health Event – Friday at 1412 N.E. 88th St. A booth in a waiting room with a dental assistant providing oral health education, demonstrations, giveaways, brochures, books, book marks, floss, tooth brushes and stickers. 360-566-4407.

Community Health Fair – Friday at Center for Community Health, 1601 E. Fourth Plain Blvd., third floor. Various organizations and community partners focused on improving the quality of health. 360-852-9080.

Women Take Heart – Saturday at Sea Mar Vancouver Medical Clinic, 7410 E. Delaware Lane. Free health screenings, information about heart disease, interactive talks and activities centered on stress reduction, nutrition, movement, heart physiology and more. 360-566-4408.
