HOUSTON (AP) — Milwaukee outfielder Corey Hart is out of the lineup and has a bruised little finger on his left hand a day after he was hit by a pitch against the Astros.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said there was no broken bones in the hand, but it was still swollen and sore Sunday.

After being hit by a pitch from David Carpenter in the top of the seventh, Hart stayed in and played right field for the bottom of the inning, but was replaced in the eighth because Roenicke said Hart had trouble gripping a bat.

Hart is batting .277 with 16 home runs and 39 RBIs this season and is on an eight-game hitting streak. Mark Kotsay played right field Sunday.
