TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A 12-year-old Tacoma boy has programmed an iPhone app called Vegetable Blow-up.

It’s a simple game where the player guides a missile through carrots, tomatoes and broccoli. Logan Howell hates broccoli.

The News Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/p0vdaj ) Logan taught himself the programming skills over the last year through online tutorials and received approval from Apple to offer his game. It’s now one of the 350,000 apps available through Apple.

Logan earns 70 cents for each sale. He has already developed Vegetable Blow-up 1.2 and is working on a new game with animals.
