COULEE CITY, Wash. (AP) — A Grant County, Wash., spokesman says a wildfire has burned across nearly four square miles of sagebrush and grass west of Coulee City, damaging several Bonneville Power Administration transmission poles.

County Emergency Management spokesman Kyle Foreman says no power outages have been reported.

Grant and Douglas county firefighters were dispatched to the fire about 4 p.m. Friday in the area of State Highway 2 and State Highway 17. By Friday night, the 2,500-acre fire was reported 50 percent contained.

Foreman says no homes or structures have been lost and none are threatened.

State firefighting help is being dispatched.
