SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The Washington State Patrol says alcohol was a factor in a Sunday night crash at Spokane that sent eight people, including four children, to hospitals.
KXLY reports (http://bit.ly/nrfKHT ) a van failed to yield at a stop sign and was hit by a van on Highway 395. The driver of the first van could face charges of drunken driving and vehicular assault.
The patrol says the children were treated and released early Monday. Their mother who was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition and the father in satisfactory condition.
Two other people in the other van also were hospitalized.
Both vans were totaled in the crash.
