DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani intelligence officials say a suspected U.S. drone fired missiles at a house in northwest Pakistan, killing four militants.

The officials say the house hit before dawn Tuesday was located in the bazaar in Miran Shah, the main town in the North Waziristan tribal area. The attack also injured two suspected militants.

The officials say initial reports indicate two foreigners were among the dead, but their precise nationalities were not known.

The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk to the media.

North Waziristan is the main sanctuary for Taliban and al-Qaida militants in Pakistan’s semiautonomous tribal region near the Afghan border.
