BEND, Ore. (AP) — The Deschutes County sheriff’s office says divers have recovered the body of a 55-year-old Oregon man who drowned in the Wickiup Reservoir southwest of Bend, Ore.
Lt. Scott Shelton says sheriff’s officers, Oregon State Police and Forest Service workers all responded Monday afternoon to a report that a man had tried to swim out to a boat that had drifted. He was last seen about 80 yards from shore.
The body of Michael “Dana” Edmunds of Dorena, Ore., was located Monday evening.
