EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Vikings have signed former Georgia running back Caleb King after he did not get chosen in the supplemental draft.

King rushed for 430 yards and two touchdowns as a junior last season and amassed 1,271 yards rushing and 10 scores in his three-year career. He was declared academically ineligible in the spring, so he entered Tuesday’s supplemental draft.

He was not picked, so he was free to sign with any team and he landed with the Vikings on Wednesday. In Minnesota, he joins an established backfield that includes Adrian Peterson, Toby Gerhart and Lorenzo Booker.

The Vikings waived offensive lineman Rod Huntley to make room for King on the roster.
