Fergie is a wonderful little dog that came to us from another shelter. She will need a home with children older than age 14. Fergie tends to be nervous on the adoption floor and is only available by appointment. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a time to meet her.
Shealena is a 7-year-old black domestic shorthair. She came to the shelter when her family could no longer care for her. Shealena will need a home with children older than age 14 because she can be startled easily. She would like a slow introduction to her new household, just so she has time to acclimate.
These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
