SEATTLE (AP) — The Coast Guard has rescued six people from a grounded fishing vessel near Decatur Island on Saturday.

The 62-foot TW Legacy ran aground while going through Thatcher Pass in the San Juan Islands.

The Coast Guard sent the Cutter Terrapin from Bellingham, Wash., to respond to a call for help at about 2:30 a.m. The crew was taken back to Bellingham Saturday morning while a helicopter scanned the water for signs of pollution.

Ballard Diving and Salvage is scheduled to recover the grounded vessel.
