LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Little League World Series champions have returned home to Southern California after their big win over Japan.

The Ocean View Little League team arrived at Los Angeles International Airport Monday night after their 2-1 win Sunday in Pennsylvania. They immediately headed to the Little League fields in Huntington Beach for a homecoming celebration with league members, family and fans.

The city of Huntington Beach is planning to honor the team with an official parade on Saturday.

The team returned the World Series title to the United States with Sunday’s victory. A U.S. team has won six of the past seven World Series, with Japan’s win last year the exception.
