KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii (AP) — Big Island police have identified a body found floating off a Kailua-Kona beach as a 60-year-old Washington state man.

Bystanders pulled Michael Gene Harvey, of Centraila, to shore Wednesday but he was unresponsive.

Police say he possibly drowned while swimming at White Sands Beach.

He was taken to Kona Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Foul play is not suspected. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause of death.
