Western Illinois defeats North Dakota State 55-51

MACOMB, Ill. (AP) — Terell Parks had 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Western Illinois scored the game’s last five points in a 55-51 victory against North Dakota State on Thursday night.

Obi Emegano scored 15 points and Jack Haupt 11 for the Leathernecks (3-2, 1-0 Summit League), who go Don McAvoy’s go-ahead jumper with 1:18 remaining and three free throws down the stretch.

Lawrence Alexander had 16 points and Taylor Braun 12 for the Bison (6-1, 0-1), who went ahead 51-50 on mike Felt’s 3-pointer with 1:44 left, but that was North Dakota State’s last gasp.
