North Texas rolls past Loyola Marymount 76-63

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Chris Jones had 22 points, six rebounds and six assists, and North Texas defeated Loyola Marymount 76-63 Sunday.

The Mean Green (3-5) committed just four turnovers, the school’s fewest in a game since 1993. Jordan Williams had 17 points and seven rebounds for North Texas, which wrapped up a seven-game road trip.

LaRon Armstead led the Lions (5-5) with 16 points and Drew Viney scored 10. Loyola Marymount committed 16 turnovers, which led to 16 points for North Texas.

The game was the final one of the Loyola Marymount Centennial Classic. North Texas went 2-1 in its three games while the Lions were 1-2.
