Eastern Washington beats Montana State 82-66

BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Cliff Colimon scored 22 points and Eastern Washington beat Montana State 82-66 Wednesday night in the schools’ Big Sky Conference opener.

Three other players were in double figures for the Eagles (7-6). Cliff Ederaine had 16 points, Collin Chiverton scored 12 and Jeffrey Forbes added 11 points for Eastern Washington, which never trailed in the game. The final score was the Eagles’ largest margin.

Christian Moon had 20 points to lead Montana State (5-7). Tre Johnson added 11 for the Bobcats.

Colimon was 8 for 16 from the field, matching the Eagles’ overall performance of 50 percent from the field. Colimon made four of his nine 3-point attempts, and six other Eagles also had at least one 3-pointer.
