Georgia State beats UNC-Wilmington in OT, 63-58

ATLANTA (AP) — Eric Buckner scored 18 points as Georgia State held off North Carolina-Wilmington 63-58 in overtime on Wednesday night, snapping a seven-game losing streak.

The Panthers (9-13, 4-8 Colonial Athletic Association) led 42-29 with 10:34 left in regulation before an 11-0 run from UNC Wilmington, capped by two free throws from Donte Morales, cut the deficit to 42-40 with 7:37 to go.

Chad Tomko hit a pair of free throws with 1:11 left on the clock to give the Seahawks (10-13, 4-8) a 52-50 lead. Buckner then hit a jumper with 44 seconds left, tying the score at 52 and sending the game into OT.

Georgia State made both field goal attempts and 6 of 8 from the line in overtime to seal it.

Trevor Deloach had 23 points and 12 rebounds and Tomko added 19 points for UNC Wilmington.

Josh Micheaux had 15 points, Javonte Maynor 11 and James Fields 10 for the Panthers.
