KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — An ex-Portland police officer charged with sex crimes in the Tri-Cities had been out on bail until a judge in Kennewick sent him back to jail for violating an anti-harassment order in an unrelated case.
Benton County Superior Court Judge Craig Matheson told Ryan Graichen that as a former police officer he should have known better.
The Tri-City Herald reports the 35-year-old is jailed while awaiting a March 21 trial on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor. He’s accused of offering money to girls in a park last summer to be filmed while he performed a sex act.
The anti-harassment order was entered last month for Graichen’s former girlfriend.
He worked for Portland police from 1989 to 2007.
