North Carolina A&T routs Howard 68-49

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Thomas Coleman had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds, and North Carolina A&T pulled away from Howard 68-49 on Saturday.

The Aggies led 31-24 at halftime and 48-45 with 13:06 to play when they finished the game with a 20-4 run. Howard went 2 for 17 from the field during the stretch and its last basket came with 4:19 remaining.

Adrian Powell added 12 points and DaMetrius Upchurch had 10 for the Aggies (11-14, 6-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), who swept the season series.

The Aggies shot 50.9 percent (28 of 55) from the field and outscored the Bison in the paint 44-14. The Bison shot 32.2 percent from the field (19 of 59).

Kyle Riley scored 14 points, Anton Dickerson added 13 and Mike Phillips 11 for the Bison (5-19, 3-2), who scored less than 50 points for the fifth time this season.
