GARMISCH-PARTENKIRCHEN, Germany (AP) — Lindsey Vonn will wait until just before the start of the downhill to decide whether to defend her title at the world championships.

U.S. women’s coach Alex Hoedlmoser tells The Associated Press that if Vonn “feels OK,” she’ll compete in the downhill on Sunday in Germany.

Hoedlmoser says Vonn is tested according to the team’s concussion protocol each night. She’ll also be tested after the course inspection before the race on Sunday.

Vonn sustained a concussion in a training crash last week in Austria. She said it felt like “skiing in a fog” this week during the world championships.

She finished seventh in the super-G on Tuesday and skied only the downhill portion of the super-combined on Friday. She decided to withdraw from the slalom leg.
