No. 5 Duke takes care of BC 66-53

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) — Krystal Thomas scored 16 points and Allison Vernerey added 15 to lead the No. 5 Duke Blue Devils to a 66-53 win over Boston College on Sunday.

Duke used a 12-2 run midway through the second half en route to the win. Karima Christmas scored 14 and Chelsea Gray added 13 for the Blue Devils (23-2, 9-1 ACC).

Boston College guard Jaclyn Thoman made five 3-pointers and led the Eagles (17-8, 4-6) with 21 points.

Duke, playing its third game in seven days, led by eight early in the first half. But Boston College, playing its first game in seven days, got back-to-back 3s from Thoman to get back into the game.

Duke led 29-28 at the half.
