There will be a celebration of life at 3 p.m. Monday in Vancouver for Bradley E. Bouton, who was killed on Feb. 4 while helping a stranded motorist.

Family and friends will gather for a potluck meal at the picnic shelter next to the visitors center at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site, 1501 E. Evergreen Blvd.

The visitors center is on the northeast corner of the site, opposite Officers Row near the intersection of East Evergreen Boulevard and Reserve Street.

The 52-year-old Vancouver man died Feb. 4 when he was struck by a car on state Highway 14 near Pearson Field. Bouton was assisting the driver of a disabled pickup on the shoulder of the highway at about 9 p.m. when he was killed.

His family has established a memorial fund at Key Bank. Donations can be made at any Key Bank or mailed to Key Bank, 9655 17th Ave. S.W., Seattle, WA 98106. Contributions should be directed to the Bradley E. Bouton Memorial Fund, Account No. 471392054170.

There also will be a celebration of life later in Seattle.

The family has posted the Bradley E. Bouton Memorial Page on Facebook, where people can share their memories and stories.
