Vancouver police and Clark County medical examiners are working to determine what killed a man whose body was found Tuesday afternoon in a marsh in the 3500 block of Northeast Andresen Road, between Fourth Plain Road and state Highway 500.

The body appears to be that of a white man who has not yet been identified.

An autopsy on the body was conducted Wednesday. Medical examiners and investigators with the police department’s Major Crimes Unit were working again Thursday to identify the man and how he died.

Workers who were studying amphibians in the marsh found the remains and notified police about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

No further information was available from police.
