A Portland woman was in the Clark County Jail on Sunday night after attempting to elude police officers Saturday night. Bail was not allowed for Christina M. MacDonald, 32.

The Oregon State Police said MacDonald was a passenger in a white Chevrolet pickup stopped at 9:35 p.m. for traffic violations on Interstate 84 in east Portland.

Troopers said they were talking with the driver outside the truck and MacDonald moved into the driver’s seat and drove westbound. Another OSP trooper took off after her. MacDonald, according to police, turned north on Interstate 205, crossed the I-205 Bridge, and was later stopped by Washington State Patrol troopers. The exact location of the stop was not available. She was taken to jail.

The Oregon State Police say she will be charged with felony attempt to elude; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; reckless driving; furnishing false information to police; identity theft; and offensive littering. She is to appear in Multnomah County Circuit Court, according to a press release.
