Most area schools look to be open today, returning to normal schedules after a low-level snow storm Wednesday night and Thursday morning spurred cancellations. In Clark County, only the Washougal School District canceled all of its classes.

Today is forecasted to be dry and chilly, with the only sighting of snow coming from what remains on the ground following the Wednesday-Thursday system.

The National Weather Service predicts for today mostly sunny skies, winds of up to 15 miles per hour, a high of 35 degrees and a nighttime low around 15.

Here’s the weekend’s forecast:

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 40. Light and variable wind.

Saturday Night: A 50 percent chance of rain. Cloudy, with a low around 32. South wind between 7 and 9 mph.

Sunday: Rain likely. Cloudy, with a high near 44. South southwest wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Sunday Night: Rain. Low around 37. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
