BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) — The Bellingham Herald reports that a Whatcom County sheriff’s deputy and a suspect have been injured.
The paper says the deputy was struck in the head with a hammer and the suspect was wounded by an officer about 9:40 a.m. Monday.
