EPHRATA, Wash. (AP) — One of two winning Mega Millions tickets was bought at a Safeway supermarket in the Eastern Washington town of Ephrata (eh-FRAY’-tah).
Washington’s Lottery spokesman Scott Kinney said Wednesday the winners will be sharing a $380 million jackpot. He says that’s higher than the previous $355 million because of feverish sales before Tuesday night’s drawing.
The other winning ticket was sold in Idaho. Lottery officials there have not said where that ticket was sold.
The drawing drew huge interest across the country as thousands of people lined up to buy tickets in 41 states and Washington, D.C., where the game is available.
