The city of Woodland has hired a new community development planner to replace former planner Kei Zushi.

Carolyn Johnson will begin working for the city on Jan. 24. Zushi left his position with the city a couple months ago but has provided services to the city through a contract in the interim.

Johnson’s salary is $4,276 per month ($51,312 annually) plus benefits. The position is nonunion.

Johnson will serve a one-year probationary period, followed by an evaluation and recommendation for continued employment.

The community development planner works in the public works department.
