Central Conn. State downs St. Francis (N.Y.) 61-43

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP) — Robbie Ptacek scored 25 points and Central Connecticut State beat St. Francis (N.Y.) 61-43 on Thursday night for its fifth win in a row.

The Blue Devils have won each of their past four games by 16 points or more. Ptacek, who made 10 of 16 field goal attempts, scored at least 20 points for the fourth time this season.

Ken Horton had a double-double, with 10 points and 14 rebounds, for the Blue Devils (9-5, 2-2 Northeast Conference), who have won eight straight home games dating back to last season.

The Blue Devils, who held St. Francis to 23.4 percent shooting (15 of 64), have allowed 51 points or less in four of their past eight games. The Blue Devils led 37-21 at halftime and built is biggest lead at 53-29 with 11:14 remaining.

Ricky Cadell scored nine points on 4-of-14 shooting to lead the Terriers (7-7, 1-2), who have lost four of their past five games.
