Bryant takes 67-64 win over St. Francis (N.Y.)

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) — Corey Maynard hit a 3-pointer with 5 seconds remaining to lift Bryant to a 67-64 victory over St. Francis (N.Y.) on Saturday.

Maynard caught a pass from Frankie Dobbs and hit the shot to help Bryant (3-13, 1-3 Northeast Conference) snap a three-game losing streak.

Cecil Gresham, who led the Bulldogs with 25 points, tied the score at 64 with a layup with 46 seconds remaining. St. Francis (7-8, 2-2), which has lost three straight, didn’t score after Ricky Cadell hit a free throw with 3:13 to play.

Stefan Perunicic’s 3-pointer gave St. Francis a 61-54 lead with 6:48 left, but the Bulldogs scored the next five points to cut the lead to 61-59 with 4:18 left.

Vlad Kondratyev had 12 points and Barry Latham added 10 for Bryant. Maynard finished with five points.

Akeem Bennett had 15 points, Perunicic added 14 and Akeem Johnson finished with 13 points for the Terriers.
