Cal State-Fullerton beats UC Riverside 83-77 in OT

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) — Devon Peltier scored 21 points and two Cal State-Fullerton players posted double-doubles as the Titans defeated UC Riverside 83-77 in overtime Saturday night.

Jer’Vaughn Johnson had 17 points and 14 rebounds, and Andre Hardy had 14 points and 10 rebounds for Cal State Fullerton (6-10, 2-2 Big West). Isiah Umipig had 19 points before fouling out and Orane Chin just missed a third double-double for the Titans with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Javon Borum led the Highlanders (6-8, 1-1) with 23 points. He scored five points in the last 2.1 seconds of regulation, hitting a 3-pointer and then two free throws after Fullerton was assessed for calling too many timeouts. But Riverside did not have a field goal in overtime, and was outscored 10-4.

Kareem Nitoto had 10 points and 10 assists for Riverside, which led 32-24 at halftime.
