TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — A man accused of firing the shot that killed a Tacoma, Wash., city employee on her front porch has been ordered held on $2 million bail.

Not guilty pleas were also entered Monday in Pierce County Superior Court on behalf of 25-year-old Olujimi Blakeney. He is charged with first-degree murder, drive-by shooting and unlawfully possessing a firearm.

Lisa Marie Melancon was shot July 22 as she stepped out onto the front porch of her home while calling 911 to report a fistfight nearby.

Court documents say police believe Blakeney fired the fatal shot from a car fleeing the scene.

The News Tribune says two other men in the car have pleaded guilty to riot and are expected to testify against Blakeney. Blakeney was arrested last month in California.
