CLEVELAND (AP) — Trevon Harmon scored 22 points and Norris Cole added 18 to lead Cleveland State to an 81-69 victory over Detroit on Thursday night.
The Vikings (17-3, 6-2 Horizon League) trailed 12-11 near the midway point of the opening half, but scored six straight and went on a 18-6 run to take a 29-18 lead with 5:51 left before halftime.
Cleveland State led 39-32 at the break despite being outscored 22-16 in the paint and 14-5 on second-chance points.
The Titans (10-10, 4-4) pulled in front 60-59 on a free throw from Ray McCallum with 8:05 to go. The Vikings outscored Detroit 22-9 the rest of the way as the Titans went nearly 6 minutes without a field goal.
