CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Zac Swansey hit a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left to give Tennessee Tech a 71-68 win over Austin Peay on Thursday night.
The Golden Eagles (9-8, 5-3 Ohio Valley Conference) trailed 68-66 with 1:27 to play, before Zach Bailey’s layup tied it for the 14th time 20 seconds later.
The Governors (12-8, 6-6) led 28-24 at halftime and Tennessee Tech scored 18 of its 22 second-chance points in the second half.
The Golden Eagles scored 32 points in the paint and shot 49.1 percent from the field in the game (27 of 55).
