Portland police investigating stabbing at Diddler’s Beach

Here is a press release from the Portland Police Bureau:

On July 2, 2011 at 1:28 a.m. Portland Police officers assigned to North Precinct were dispatched to report of a stabbing at Diddler’s Beach, 4701 NE Marine Dr. Dispatch indicated that both the suspect and victim vehicles were last seen eastbound on NE Marine Dr.

The vehicle containing the victim was located at NE 158th Ave and NE Airport Way. The victim had multiple stab wounds and was transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle believed to be the suspect vehicle was located at NE 122 Ave and NE Russell St. The occupants of the vehicle were all interviewed. A crime scene was established on the beach and the Forensics Evidence Division responded and processed the crime scene.

Assault Detectives and the Gang Violence Reduction Team were also notified. No arrests have been made in the case at this point and the investigation is continuing.
