16-year-old drowns at Woodland WA lake

WOODLAND, Wash. (AP) -- Police say a 16-year-old drowned while swimming at Horseshoe Lake in Woodland, Wash.

The Cowlitz County coroner's office has identified the victim was Jesus Orlando Gomez Beltran of Woodland.

Witnesses say he swam to a buoy Monday afternoon and got into trouble while returning to shore. Another swimmer was unable to save him.

Divers found the body about an hour later.
